“One of my biggest tips for fine-line tattoos is to choose the size and placement carefully. I always recommend giving delicate designs enough space so the details can breathe and age beautifully over time. I also consider areas with a lot of friction, movement, or sun exposure, because these factors can affect how a fine-line tattoo ages. My goal is always to create something delicate that will still look beautiful years from now.”

How to book with Aline
Aline books on Square. Open our Square booking and choose Aline when you book. She works Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, 10am–6pm, and she’s off Monday and Thursday. Some bookings need a deposit to hold the slot; you’ll see it during checkout. Coming from out of town? You can also use the travel form and pick Aline as your artist.

How small can a fine line tattoo be?
There’s no exact size that works for every design, because it depends on the amount of detail, the placement, and your skin. As a general rule, I prefer not to do extremely tiny fine-line tattoos. Giving the design a little more space helps the lines heal properly and keeps the details beautiful for longer. I always look at the design and the placement together before deciding on the best size for you.

Do fine line tattoos last?
Fine-line tattoos can soften or fade over time, just like any tattoo, but that doesn’t mean they won’t last. In my experience, the right size, placement, and technique make a big difference. Protecting your tattoo from the sun, keeping your skin moisturized, and following proper aftercare can also help preserve those delicate lines.

Is there a minimum price?
Yes. The shop minimum is $100, which covers 30 minutes of tattooing. Many small fine line pieces fall within that.
How do I care for a fine line tattoo?
The same aftercare sheet applies to fine line work. Your artist will walk you through aftercare for your piece, and the full notes are on our aftercare page. If it didn’t heal right, touch-ups are free. Sun damage isn’t covered.
